Join us for an extraordinary 2 days of hard training in this rare and beautiful martial art! Whatever style you practice, the principles of Daito Ryu will enhance your technique and understanding of your art. Although some experience with taking ukemi (rolling and breakfalls) is recommended, it is not required. Goldberg Sensei will demonstrate techniques for students of all ranks and experience.

Roy Goldberg Sensei is the Senior student of Kiyama Hayawo Shihan. Sensei has been awarded the Daito RyuAikijujutsu Kodo Kai Rank of 7th Dan. He is the highest-ranking non-Japanese to earn this rank from Kodo Kai Hombu Dojo (Kitami, Japan), which also certified him with the rare Kyoju Dairi (representative instructor) teaching license. Goldberg Sensei has trained over 3 decades with Kiyama Shihan and the leading Shihan from Japan including two Menkyo Kaiden.

Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu is a 1,200-year-old samurai martial art. It has directly influenced the development of many popular martial arts, such as Aikido, Shorinji Kempo, Hakko Ryu Jujutsu and Hapkido. Daito Ryu’s core principles focus on subtle manipulations of balance that will complement and enrich any martial arts training. Once a secret art, passed generation to generation through the Takeda clan, the system of Daito Ryu AikiJujutsu was revived in the late 19th century by Sokaku Takeda, 32nd in line of the Takeda family.
